Calibre Training: Your Roadmap to Expertise

As part of our mentorship extravaganza, you’ll get a free ticket to the Calibre training! This isn’t your ordinary eLearning. Over five fast weeks, you’ll cover everything from the nitty-gritty of obesity pathophysiology to tackling weight bias and whipping up collaborative care plans. Clock in around 22 hours and emerge as an obesity care expert, with accreditation!

One-Day In-Person Workshop: Meet, Greet, and Collaborate

We’re turning up the heat with a one-day, in-person workshop where you can meet your mentors and peers in a real, not virtual, room. It’s a full day of engaging, learning, and networking in a supportive setting. We’re even picking up the tab for your airfare and a night’s stay. Meet the Mentors

Dr. Tasneem Sajwani is the Medical Director at the Edmonton Weight Management Centre. With a certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) and being a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians, Dr. Sajwani is dedicated to advancing obesity care and family medicine. Her leadership and expertise continue to drive impactful change in the field of weight management and primary care.

Dr. Sean Wharton has his doctorate in Pharmacy and Medicine at the University of Toronto.  He is the medical director of the Wharton Medical Clinic, a community based internal medicine weight management and diabetes clinic.  He is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto and adjunct professor at McMaster University in Hamilton and York University in Toronto.  He is the lead author of the 2020 Canadian Obesity Guidelines and has published many peer-reviewed articles in international medical journals.
